In 2020, Pastor Brandon McGowin and his wife Kristina, along with their 3 children (Braydon, Olivia, and Jett) moved to Panama city to be the Youth Pastors at a local church. Their passion for reaching young people and the beach had now converged for a new season of ministry.
The Hathaway Bridge is what connects Panama City with Panama City Beach. It was that bridge that first birthed this dream to plant a church. In 2020 we were driving over this bridge when the Lord began to speak to both of us. As we began to talk, we realized that the Lord was speaking the same thing to both of us. That word was that we would lead a ministry that would be the BreakPoint for people in their faith.
Now, we are ready to walk out what began in 2020 on Hathaway Bridge and launch BreakPoint Church in Panama City Beach, Florida. Our heart is for the lost. Our heart is for the broken. Our heart is to see people know Jesus in a way they’ve never known Him before.
We have been blessed to be surrounded by people who believe in us and the call of God on our lives. People like Dr. Pickens, who in his Church Planting class at Bridges Christian College posed this question: “Do you think the Lord was speaking prophetically through this class for you to plant a church?”
Beginning the Fall of 2026, BreakPoint Church will go from being a dream placed in our heart, a prophetic word spoken to friends and mentors, and will become a reality. Will you partner with us? There are 3 things we need to make BreakPoint Church launch:
1. Your Prayers - Whether you are local or not, we need your prayers. Prayers for our community, our family, and the future of BreakPoint Church. Will you pray for us?
2. Launch Team - To accomplish what God has placed on our heart, we need a team of people. A team that sees the vision and what God wants to do, and longs to be a part. Will you join us?
3. Funding - Church is not all about finances, yet they are absolutely needed to reach a community. From finding a location to rent to having the resources to accomplish the outreach ideas we have, finances are vital. Will you partner will us and help Fund the Vision?
